Volunteer Translator/Interpreter
As a volunteer I have helped scores of newly arrived applicants for change of legal status at INS - Immigration and Naturalization Service offices and courts. I help them examine, translate and organize their documents and/or rendered their case history into English language for presentation before adjudication officers and judges. I continue to help as Interpreter in URDU and PUNJABI as target languages, at INS interviews as well as at offices of attorneys. Latest assignment – done on 11/26/2008.
