Mt. Gilo, Ft. Hood and the Rainbow Trio 25 November
I just found an intriguing bit of wisdom in Proverbs 19:3:
"A man's folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the Lord."
Nevertheless, most people have enough sense not to get too upset with Abba. Thus we begin to probe the culpability of handy scapegoats -- e.g. people. Perhaps just like the governments which are still ordinary, air-breathing people!
It was a little more than exasperating a few days ago for me and about 700,000 Jerusalemites when Obama (Sometimes he’s known as: Capitol O), and the UN, the UK, and, of course, the Palestinians began whining about this Gilo thing. The Israelis had ridiculously promised to the PA to hold off for 10 months on building for natural growth in Judea and Samaria, which actually has been an integral part of Israel ever since Abraham built altars to the Lord in those parts. So sacrificing growth in Judea and Samaria, (reality-adjustors renamed it the ‘West Bank’) they switched to building inside Jerusalem proper, 900 sorely needed housing units for the capitol's growth.
Now in my some 23 visits to Jerusalem, we have ourselves frequently slept in Gilo at our friends' Judaic-oriented home. We encountered no Islamic associations, even though our hosts informed us that at one point in our absence a mortar from afar had been lobbed into the courtyard near their apartment, and there had also been at one stage, large-caliber sniper fire from Bethlehem several kilometers to the south. And there was also one horrific bus bombing that killed Jewish school children which is standard fare for the terrorists anywhere in Israel. But in our comings and goings, there was no hint of Arab ownership of Gilo, terrorists or trauma -- only Jews from Jerusalem.
So you can see how perverse these Gilo charges are by a propaganda-prompted media when you hear it on the news. Here is an excerpt from a Jerusalem Post article with the URL for the entire article below it:
"The reality is that Gilo is very different than the outposts in the West Bank. It is not in east Jerusalem as widely reported. It is a Jerusalem neighborhood with a population of around 40,000. The ground was bought by Jews before WWII and settled in 1971 in south west Jerusalem opposite Mount Gilo within the municipal borders. There is no inference whatsoever that it rests on Arab land".

Going back to Proverbs 19:3, this does happen to be "man's folly" but -- in this case –it also involves ruining someone else's life other than your own!
But now, let's look a bit further to find an alternate fit to the data at Ft. Hood, TX. In this case, the fudge-factor is hardly blaming God—at least not the God of the Bible— but blaming everything else but the real source of the religious leading that comes straight from Islam's holy books and practices -- nowhere else!
Here's an excerpt from an easy to understand report from History News Network:
"The ranks of those who still argue that Islam had nothing to do with Nidal Hasan's personal jihad at Ft. Hood are growing increasingly thin (at least among the intellectually honest), especially after news outlets carried the story yesterday about the interview by a Yemeni journalist of Hasan's overseas clerical mentor, Anwar al-Awlaki (who) said that "fighting against the US army is an Islamic duty today," and that "the only way a Muslim could Islamically justify serving as a soldier in the US army is if his intention is to follow the footsteps of men like Nidal; he also added, “I blessed the act because it was against a military target. And the soldiers who were killed were not normal soldiers, but those who were trained and prepared to go to Afghanistan and Iraq."(underlining is mine, VKS)

Then here is another excerpt of a clear and piercing article by veteran journalist, Mark Steyn that he dubs, "Nuts?"
"So who's nuttier?
The guy who gives a lecture to other military doctors in which he says non-Muslims should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats?
Or the guys who say "Hey, let's have this fellow counsel our traumatized veterans and then promote him to major and put him on a Homeland Security panel?
Or the Army Chief of Staff who thinks the priority should be to celebrate diversity, even unto death?
Or the Secretary of Homeland Security who warns that the principal threat we face now is an outbreak of Islamophobia?
Or the president who says we cannot "fully know" why Major Hasan did what he did, so why trouble ourselves any further?
Or the columnist who, when a man hands out copies of the Koran before gunning down his victims while yelling "Allahu akbar," says, you're racist if you bring up his religion?”
You can read the rest of Stein’s article here
And there is one more excellent piece, "The Ignorance of Islam -- Enter the Egalitarian Syndrome" by Prof Paul Eidelberg. The opening line of his research simply states:
"Apropos of the Muslim massacre at Fort Hood and the media's failure to fault Islam for this massacre, I am updating a 1999 article of mine."His point on the culpability of Islam is already made, but you can: Read the rest Paul Eidleberg’s 1999 update here.
And finally there is the disturbing blog by Floyd and Mary Beth Brown, "Obama's Rose Colored Glasses" for which one can be forgiven for the conclusion that there's something shadier going on than those cover-up lenses!Click the above URL.
Yet the real heartbeat of this bulletin, and a swing back to Prov 19:3, "A man's folly ruins his life…" -- is the deepest thought provoker of all: "All European Life Died in Auschwitz" by Spanish journalist, Sebastian Villar Rodrigez. His is a "must deeply ponder" opening paragraph:
I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth - Europe died in Auschwitz. We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, and talent. The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and the conscience of the world. These are the people we burned. And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride. They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime. Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

So whose fault was all of that? And whose folly badgered us (i.e. humankind) "to rage against God", most probably in a last gullible gamble before He was finally traded in for 30 pieces of silver for a much more alluring New World Order!
Let's now go back to the Rainbow Trio of Genesis 6, 7 & 8 -- Shem, Ham and Japheth. These three tsunami surmounting sons of Noah happen to be our collective Papas. You can read about their 7-color symbol of promised survival in Genesis 9:12-17.
Ham went southward and ran into enough life-troubles of his own. Shem hung around the home turf (for both better and worse), to major in what some might suggest as:Family Feuds 101. And Japheth headed north and west with the challenge of new worlds to conquer—and most particularly control! And there was also the possibility of an eventual New World Order if the old world arrangement didn't happen to shine brightly enough to adequately light his path to meet his personal specifications.
Sorry if this is a gross over-simplification, but I dare not begin another entire book at this point. However, if we carefully connect the dots, they hardly lead our Papas to anywhere neara humanly hoped-for Utopia but rather to Auschwitz!
While another rather significant Scripture text from Ex 20:3-6 (which happened to come to us through the medium of Moses, one of the more outstanding scions of Shem):
"You shall have no other gods before me; you shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments." (Underlining mine)
And lest we lose sight of the Most High (aka The Ancient of Days), there is one more verse in Rom 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of god". Now that's also a bit significant.
* So, when all is said and done, who massacred those 6 million offspring of Shem?
* And who else opened the flood gates of 20 million more of Shem's other half of the household to take over Europe?
* Who prompted the sons of Esau (aka Amalek) to prominent positions across the globe—including professorships in influential US Universities like Harvard and Columbia)?
* And who put the petrol pumps under the avid appetite of the Saudi Sheiks?
* Quirkiest question of all -- who hid Capitol O's Birth Certificate?
* And the most damning -- who enticed Japheth (and don't forget most all of his cousins) to idolize the good life and worship the dollar! It's a mixed-up globe!
Was this all a measure of Divine Mismanagement? Or perhaps it was the Almighty’s answer to many a millennia of humanity’s apathy? Better think it through!
Back to Proverbs 19:3, A man's folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against WHO?
Two more verses for closing:
Isaiah 64:1, "O, that You would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you."
And in the New Testament aka Brit Hadasha: Rev 22:20: "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."
Wistful thinking? Not so. I for one am counting on it!
