UNIT OBJECTIVES:

  1. List and describe the major states and empires of the world in 1500 CE, and locate them on a map.
  2. Describe the ways in which a state’s geography influenced its economy and cultural characteristics in 1500 CE.
  3. Describe the forces that affected world trade patterns in 1500 CE, and how they did so.
  4. Explain specifically how the science and technology of 1500 CE affected the trading patters at that time—in both the substance of what was traded, and the actual practice of engaging in trade relationships.

DAILY OBJECTIVES:

We will:

Discuss the objectives of the class.

By the end of today I will be able to:

Analyze how regional interactions were important in regards to geography.
