Digital Photography 2

This is a second year course for students interested in continuing with the art of photography. The course involves the continued study of the principles of composition and design, then applying learned principles to photographic expression. The course also involves the technical side of digital cameras so students can control exposure, depth of field, and shutter speed to overcome the challenges of low light settings, sports photography, and portraitures. Students use Adobe Photoshop CS6 to do color correction, improve skin tones, sharpen images, crop images, white balance, … as needed. Students will be able to evaluate and critique works of art and understand important photographic techniques and photographers. Student will learn a variety of styles, but will also be given an opportunity to focus on their specialties/interests.
