Katy High School Retest/Redo Procedures
2015-2016
In keeping with the Katy ISD belief that students should have the benefit of continuous opportunities to learn, and that student’s mastery level shall be a major factor in determining the grade for a student or course, (Policy EIA Local), Katy High School has established the following departmental retest/redo procedures as part of the standard grading practice for all courses including PreAP/AP courses. Unless a specific class is singled out in the departmental procedures, the procedures apply to all courses in that content. When applicable, dual credit courses follow college grading procedures and are therefore exempt from the retest/redo procedures.
If a student commits academic dishonesty on a major test or project, the student will receive a zero for a grade, but will be allowed to do a retest/redo for a maximum grade of a 50. This is separate from any discipline consequences that may be assigned.
MATH DEPARTMENT

- If the Cumulative re-test is passed with a grade between 79 - 70, then 2 points will be added to all previous passing test scores
