Welcome Back Information
Homework
I will send home your child’s homework every Monday. It will be due on Friday.
Your child will have Math and Reading each week. They will also have a facts practice test on Friday. They will have a study guide in their homework folder on Mondays. We will have facts practice tests at least for the first quarter. If needed, we will continue with this into the second quarter.
Communication
I will send home a newsletter every Monday. The newsletter will be sent home in your child’s homework folder and posted on my website. My website is wendybendelteacher.com.
If you need to contact me during the day, please feel free to use my email address. My email address is . I will check my email in the morning and during my planning period. My planning period is 12:35-1:20. If you need to contact me about a transportation change or other pertinent information after 1:20, call the office. This way they can make sure that I get your message.
I am available for conferences on my non-required workdays. I will let you know in advance of these dates if you would like to come in.
Volunteers
I will send home information about this in about a month after I get to know the kids and see what I may need help with this year. Make sure to activate your volunteer status for this school year.
BYOD
We have a new form this year that needs to be signed for bringing your own device. I will always use devices on Wednesday. We will use these for Math practice, Reading practice, research, multi-media projects, and writing. If your child does not have a device, one will be provided. I will not start this until we have learned rules and classroom procedures. You will be notified and sent home a permission form.
