HIGHLIGHTS:

SPORT: Baseball

The baseball team ends their season with a Varsity Record of 8-11, JV went 6-9 and Freshman went 4-8. With an intense off-season program, Coach Neal is excited to build on this season and be ready to make a playoff run next spring!

SPORT: Softball

The softball team ends their season with a Varsity record of 6-12, JV went 6-9 and Freshman went 5-6. Coach Bellemare also has a great off-season planned to build on this season and bring a more competitive and seasoned group to the field next spring!

SPORT: Track and Field

We have 14 track athletes that have qualified for State in their respective events. They will be competing Friday May 8th and Saturday May 9th at Mesa Community College! We wish them great luck and hope to bring home a championship!

SPORT: Tennis

Boys tennis finish their season with a 13-1 regular season record and a birth to the state playoffs. They lost to Northland Prep in State. They had a doubles team, Anthony Parrish-Lacson and Devon Jones that made it to the Quarterfinals at Individual State. The Girls Tennis team went undefeated with a 14-0 record and are in the Team Tennis State Quarterfinals on May 6th vs. Safford! They also had a doubles pair, Angela Rivera & Payton Cap that finished with a Bronze Medal and 3rd place win at the State Championships! Congratulations to FHS Tennis!

SPORT: Golf

FHS Golf wraps-up their season on May 8-9th at the Metro Invitational. They had several golfers this season improve their scores! Congrats on a great season.

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR’S SUMMARY:

Spring sports are wrapping up and we are very proud of our kids! They have put academics first and really worked hard to finish out the spring season! As we wrap up the season we are preparing the summer off-season in all sports. Our coaches are looking forward to the next school year in sports and we are excited to support them along the way! GO GOPHERS!
