Course description

Design is a course centered on creative problem solving. Students will create solutions to problems by creating products. This is an open ended course where the journey is more important than the destination. We will be focusing on Heart and Mind as we build positive 21st century digital citizens and courageous risk takers.

Extra Notes:We will be creating a blog/website which will serve as our online journal. Each child will have their own site. If you have any concerns with your child's digital safety please let me know immediately.

●Topic: Digital Citizenship
●Design Folio/Presentation
Extra Notes:Help your child stay on task! Follow your child's work on their design folio. They should have a journal entry every week. Be sure to check that they have done it by Friday every time!

Quarter 3

Jan 23 – Mar 31 / ●Video Production
●Fox Five News Short!
Extra Notes:Students will be creating a news short to submit to Fox Five and possibly be aired live!.

Quarter 4

Apr 1– June 15 / ●Video Production
●Final Project
●Ceramic assignment
Extra Notes:In addition to IB design students will be receiving instruction in Portrait drawing, Ceramics and black and white design.
