PenkridgeMiddle School is a popular 400 pupil school within Penkridge village in South Staffordshire. Our Middle School caters for pupils from 9-13yrs from Curriculum Years 5-8 and has been measured by Ofsted as a good school.

This temporary vacancy arises from our strategic plan to target additional resources in closing identifiedlearning gaps for specific pupils/groups, and to further support progress monitoring with targeted teaching/intervention, specifically in relation to English and Maths skills. The successful candidate will also be employed for part of the week as a learning mentor to design, create and deliver personalised intervention and mentoring programmes to individuals and groups, liaise with parents and support pupil learning and track progress. Occasional classroom cover will also be a requirement of this post and the flexibility to work as a class teacher in Key Stage 2 as required, essential.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious teacher with a positive, “can do” attitude. The successful candidate should be a “team player” who works well with and motivates pupils and colleagues alike. Applicants should hold a good degree in English and have the ability to teach whole class literacy across the ability range in Key Stages 2 & 3, and some numeracy.
