“Ethnopedagogy: History and Modernity”

Call for papers
We are pleased to announce the International conference “Ethnopedagogy: History and Modernity” that will take place at Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakin on October 17-18, 2013.
Topic suggestions:
· ethnopedagogy and its methodology;
· ethnopedagogy and religion;
· ethnopedagogy and ethnopsychology;
· ethnodidactics;
· educational potential of folk art;
· reflecting the traditions of public education in literature;
· usage of ethnopedagogic ideas in modernity;
· ethno-cultural education and the challenges of globalization;
· various (materials in other areas, relevant to the subject of the conference are accepted).
The hosts of the conference will conduct master classes and organize visiting the creative sites of the University.
Conference format involves scientists from the CIS, the Baltic countries, Poland, Bulgary, etc.
Conference working languages are Russian, Belorusian, Ukrainian, English.
Editorial board reserves the right to select the reports. The reports, peer-reviewed, will be published as collected scientific articles in the author's edition. A book of conference presentations is planned for publication before the conference. The collection of articles will be assigned ISBN, UDC and the number according to Bibliographic classification.
The deadline for sending the reports is 31/05/2013. Proposals for reports should include: a) the application form (can be found at the end of this call for papers)
b) the abstract both printed and on electronic media, the author’s name should coincide with the title of the file.
Guidelines to the presentation texts:
Up to 5 pages, MSWord for Windows; Interval – 1; Font 12, Times New Roman; All fields – 25 mm; Width alignment; Paragraph indent – 12,5 mm.
Bibliography in the body is mentioned in order of appearance, in square brackets (comma indicates the number of the page, e.g. [1, 23]).
The text should include:
- the author’s name, institution, city/town, country as stated in the sample;
- the title of the report, typed in bold capital letters with center alignment;
- the text of the body is typed on the next line;
- bibliography is typed with paragraph indent (Font 10).

The conference fee (approximately $5) planned for publication of the collected scientific articles will be stated in personal invitations.
Travel, accommodation and food are covered by the participants.
A special issue of the scientific journal “MSPU Bulletin”, covering the topic of the conference, is planned for publication before the conference. The journal is included into Higher Attestation Commission list of publications.
