KS3 Mathematics Trip to Barcelona April 2017.
Dates: Saturday 8th April to Tuesday 11th April 2017.
Cost: £450.
Dear Parent,
The mathematics department is delighted to offer the opportunity for your child to visit Barcelona next year.
An itinerary of the activities included is:
· Visit and tour of Barcelona FC museum and Nou camp stadium.
· Visit and tour of La Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell
· A full day at PortAventura theme park.
· Las Ramblas
There will be mathematical activities to accompany the excursions that will afford your child the chance to enhance their appreciation of mathematics in the real world. The topics covered include Trigonometry, financial mathematics and designing Rose windows, like those at La Sagrada cathedral.
The cost of the trip includes flights from Bristol to Barcelona, accommodation in the centre of the city, all meals and activities, as well as insurance.
Your child will need to have their own valid passport in order to travel.
If you would like your son/ daughter to be part of this magnificent trip, please complete the attached consent form and direct debit agreement and return to Miss C Edwards by Friday 20th May.
Please remember that by completing and submitting the forms you are fully committing to the trip and its payment in full.
Spaces on the trip are limited so, should your child successfully secure a space, he/ she will be notified by their teacher.
