ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Monthly Fellowship Meal - This morning we will be having our monthly fellowship meal following Sunday school. This is an opportunity for great fellowship with the Lord’s people. We will have plenty of food and all are invited. Please join us!
  • Sunday School– This morning in the Adult Sunday School class, Larry Harris will be beginning a series looking at the “one another” commandments in Scripture. Please join us as we learn how to treat one another the way Christ would have us to.
  • Annual Church Dinner – On Sunday evening, Jan. 28th, 6:00 PM, we will meet at the Fireside Room at the Renfro Event Center to have dinner (Napoli’s) and to reflect on the Lord’s work in our church during 2017. Cost is $12.50 per person. A sign-up sheet is on the back table. Deadline to sign-up is Jan. 24th. Adults only.

Preaching & Teaching – We are committed to verse-by-verse preaching of the Scriptures and practical training into how God would have us to live every part of our lives for His glory. 2 Timothy 3:16-4:5

One Another – We are committed to being personally involved in one another’s lives through discipleship, fellowship, and mutual care for one another. Hebrews 10:24-25

Children – We are committed to providing a God-centered children’s ministry that teaches children to know and love God and His Word. Psalm 145:4

Students – We are committed to providing a God-centered ministry to youth that provides practical Christian instruction, godly fellowship, and compassionate outreach designed to develop a love for the Lord and His church. Colossians 1:28-29

Music – We are committed to expressing corporate worship to God with music having lyrics that exalt the character of God and express the truths of Scripture. Colossians 3:16-17

Outreach – We are committed to reaching out in love to our community and around the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through missionary support, gospel-driven mercy ministries, and personal discipleship. Matthew 28:18-20

Colossians 1:24-29 – Rejoicing while Suffering

Paul was able to rejoice while suffering because:

1.) He Had a Proper Persuasion (v.24)

2.) He Had a Providential Perspective (v.25a)

3.) He Had a Prophetic Purpose (vv. 25b-28)

4.) He Had a Powerful Power (v.29)
