Crime summary for 1st January to 31st January:

Total reported incidents – 44

Below is a breakdown of the incidents police have been called to in the last month:

During the same time last year, there were 56 incidents reported to police; 12 more than this year. These included 22 Home Office registered crimes; an increase of 5 this year.

The current community policing priorities are burglary, road related issues, and anti-social behaviour

There was one dwelling burglary this month:

Bell Street, Whitchurch

Access has been gained to the premises, and a television has been taken.

There was one non-dwelling burglary this month:

28/01/2018 21:30 – 29/01/2018 17:00

Kingsclere Road, Whitchurch

Offenders have gained entry into an outbuilding by smashing a window. Some keys and electric parts were taken.

Road traffic issues

There was one driving complaints this month, and five road traffic collisions causing damage only.

Offenders are passed onto the neighbourhood policing team to process.

Theft from motor vehicle incidents

We had three reports overnight between 07/01/2018 and 08/01/2018 relating to thefts from motor vehicles. One of the incidents was an unsuccessful attempt, and nothing was taken. However, two incidents led to a high value of tools being taken.
