Re: Learning Agreement Objectives

Everyone is required to have the following two Learning Objectives, Activities, Documentation Methods, and Evaluation Criteria exactly as they are given here as his/her first two Learning Objectives, Activities, Documentation Methods and Evaluation Criteria:

1. Objective: Become aware of my new learning and new experiences.

Activity: Maintain a daily log of my new learning and experiences. Show the log to my faculty advisor upon request. Write word-processed one-page business letters to my faculty advisor summarizing what I have learned over each of six weeks. Each week will begin on Monday and continue until the following Sunday. Each letter should be postmarked no later than the Tuesday following this period. The first week will run from Monday, September 6, to Sunday, September 12, with the letter postmarked by Tuesday, September 14. The last week will run from Monday, October 11, to Sunday, October 17, with the letter postmarked by Tuesday, October 19. Letters should be in hard copy in a standard business format, mailed to me, and postmarked by the appropriate date.
Due dates: Sept. 14, Sept. 21, Sept 28, Oct. 5, Oct. 12, and Oct. 19.

Documentation: The log and letters.

Evaluation Criteria: The letters will be evaluated on the basis of both content and presentation (format, grammar, spelling and style).

2.Objective: Gain an overview of my learning experience using my log for support and including a study of the industry or job future in my field.

Activity: Review the literature about my industry. Prepare a document that clearly describes my learning experience in the context of what I learned from my literature review, and the future of my job or industry. The document will include proper documentation, including a bibliography, and will be illustrative of good English writing style. It is to be in hard copy, typed or word-processed and approximately fifteen hundred words in length.
Due date: Monday, November 29.

Documentation: The document above will serve as documentation.

Evaluation Criteria: The paper will be evaluated on the basis of both content and presentation (format, grammar, spelling and style).

3. You and your supervisor need to develop exactly one more Objective, Activity, and Evaluation Criteria. Remember the Objective is what you will learn. The Activity is what you will do to achieve the Objective. The Documentation is the way you will demonstrate what you have learned. The Evaluation Criteria are the methods that you, your work supervisor, and I will use to determine whether you have achieved the Objective. Acceptable forms of documentation include oral presentations (using presentation software) or written documentation (e.g., a documented procedure manual or trouble-shooting manual).
