MONROECOUNTY STOP-DWI 2009 POSTER CONTEST RULES
THEME: ALL POSTERS MUST REFLECT THE DANGERS OF IMPAIRED DRIVING
JUDGING: Each entry will be judged on originality, message effectiveness, accuracy of information and BILLBOARD APPEAL. Judging will take place by a panel of local traffic safety professionals in April, and winners will be notified by May 1st. All winners will receive their prizes at an official award ceremony.
PRIZES: First Prize $250Second Prize $100Third Prize $50
Each first place winning poster will become a BILLBOARD.
CONTEST DATES: All entries should be received at the address listed below NO LATER THAN April 4, 2009.
CONTESTANTS: Any MonroeCountyHigh School student enrolled in grades 9-12 is eligible to participate. MonroeCounty residency is also required. THE POSTER MUST BE THE ORIGINAL WORK OF ONE STUDENT.
POSTER CRITERIA: Posters must be NO LARGER THAN 12 inches by 24inches and horizontal. Any material, which will produce a flat surface, may be used, including oils, acrylics, watercolors, markers or crayons. Color choice is unlimited.
All DWI related data or statistics used on a poster must be accurate. Statistical information may be obtained from the STOP-DWI program or any traffic safety organization.
Posters must not infringe upon existing copyright or trademarks. Only one poster entry allowed per student.
ENTRIES BECOME THE PROPERTY OF MONROE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETYAND MAY BE USED FOR BILLBOARDS, POSTERS OR CALENDARS.
ENTRY FORM: The enclosed entry form MUST be attached to the back of each poster submitted, and those contestants under 18 years old MUST include parental consent.
