Sub-Committee Reports:
Selection –The Selection Committee meets approximately once per month. B2TA committee members include Rob Donohew, Leigh Nenni, Heather Case, Anne Peck and Nancy Demarkis-Tese. Administrators include Barb Martorana, Paulette Reddick, Ken Sharp, Tammy Schockow and Wayne Wiggs. The next scheduled meeting is January 22, 2013.At the last meeting, committee members reviewed different “what if” scenarios to prepare for the real work of changing the procedures. It is the charge of the committee to write procedures to more closely align with the reality of teachers’ specific certifications as opposed to the global certifications that enabled our teachers to choose positions by straight seniority.
Grievance – no report.
APPR Advisory Committee – Rob presented progress to date. We are still receiving information that has been helpful from other school districts and from NYSUT. 2012-13 is considered a “pilot” year. We need to re-establish the committee so that its membership reflects the make-up of the staff that will be affected by, or “under” the new APPR guidelines. The details of the ratification deadline are not yet known. Rob envisions eight or ten committee members, all of whom should be employees affected by the new APPR. Rob would also like to see at least two committee members from We-Mo-Co. Dave and Laura will look for potential members.
Treasurer’s Report
Checking as of 12/10/12: $48,370.93
Money Market as of 12/31/12: $80,534.84
Treasurer’s Report – we were too late with our contribution to the Guardian Angel project. The board decided to give double next year as it is important that the money be used to benefit our students. Current reports were distributed and discussed. In addition, we made note of the fact that we would like to find a way to assist our constituents with developing a deeper understanding of exactly where their money is going. Most understand, for example, that 10% of our dues go to the local NYSUT office and 90% to the state NYSUT organization.

Guardian Angel – see Treasurer’s Report
State Convention – The State Convention scheduled for April 11th will be held in Washington, D.C. this year, the week after school vacation and right around cherry blossom time! Our two delegates are Mary Etta Chorbajian and Rob Donohew, and our two alternates are Patty Schuyler and Adam Mattice.
Salary Data - The review of salary data has been tabled for now.
Money Matters - we talked about an on-going need to find a better way to let our constituents know where we spend our money. We appear to be fiscally responsible when we consider that our B2TA dues are the 2nd lowest among our component districts.

Personnel matters – We discussed the details of a few different confidential matters involving members of our unit.
We talked about insurance issues and how Cobra works for former employees. We also talked about some of the points that need to be considered when one goes out on disability.
Meeting ended at 4:44 p.m.
The next Executive Committeemeeting will be held February 6, 2013 at #20 Slayton Avenue, Village Plaza, Spencerport.
Respectfully submitted,
