This activity replaces the Olympics. We will be combining Olympic events and Field Day type events to create a fun yet competitive evening to showcase athleticism and team work.

3rd & 4th – All Grades Lip Sync Battle in the gym
5th Period – No Activity-LUNCH
6th & 7th Period – Homeroom All Students-work on float decorations, hang banners in the gym for the pep rally

Cheerleaders will perform.
Seniors Walk in and out together. Seniors need to line up outside of the front of the gym at 9:25, they will exit the same way at the end of the pep rally. Seniors need to pick a song to walk in and out to…no vulgarity of any kind…Let me know the song to get approval.
Spirit stick winners will be awarded for MS and HS
1:00Students will be released from school
Parade line-up begins: You will enter on the road by the high school gym, ZION STREET, and take a right at the first paved road, GLASTEL STREET. Line-up is at 1:00 and the parade will begin at 2:00. There will be SGA representatives there at line-up to help you find your spot. We ask, on behalf of the City of Cottondale, that you do not throw out candy.ALL FLOATS NEED TO BE DISPLAYED BEHIND THE HOME BLEACHERS DURING THE GAME.

Royal Rumble
The Royal Rumble is a combination of Olympic events and Field Day events. You may choose from your entire class which students participate in each event as long as they have paid their dues.

SPIRIT HORNETS
SGA will be selling Spirit Hornets for 10 cents each. The class that buys the most spirit hornets will be awarded 100 points. The next class with the most will receive 75 points, then 50 points, then 25 points.
Spirit Decorations-
This year instead of doing door decorations we want every grade (MS & HS) to put Spirit Decorations above their assigned section of the bleachers in the gym. Decorations will be judged during the pep rally. (You may decorate your section however you like as long as you stay within your boundaries. Any materials may be used.) Spirit Decorations need to reflect SCHOOL SPIRIT.
Lip Sync Battle
The lip sync battle will be performed on Thursday in the Gym. Middle school will be perform 1 song from the Wizard of Oz soundtrack. High School classes will perform a medley of 3 patriotic songs…1 minute per song. Class Presidents will draw 3 songs from the pot to perform, starting with Seniors and working our way down.
Rules:
Maximum of 3 minutes
No Props
No Live Singing
Lyrics must be printed out in the order you present them (this willgiven to the judges for accuracy) NO LYRICS=NO POINTS
You may wear costumes
No limit on participants (the more the merrier)
You are responsible for your own music and making sure it is compatible with the system used in the gym
Points will be awarded for Accuracy, Class Participation, Song Choice, Overall Appearance

Spirit Stick-One class in MS and One class in HS will be awarded the spirit stick during the pep rally. This class will be awarded 100 points.
