Meeting opened at 7:05pm.
1. Attendance, Apologies and Absentees

2. Approval of minutes of previous meeting

3. Subway
Ravi informs the exec that he has acquired a number of flyers from Subway to be distributed in our showbags and the possibility of using Subway for a member training or competition night as a break from our pizza dominated diet.
4. O-week
Julian informs the executive that he has acquired over 300 showbags from the Transport department free of charge. To fill these bags, a flyer for Freshers Comp has been created, Phil’s DAV form with minor alterations will be added, Mel’s Silvertongue, a KFC flyer, a KPMG highlighter and possibly a pizza joint advertisement will be added. Ravi informs the exec of Subway stuff. Showbags will be packed on Monday Feb 20 at 10am in the MAD Office.
Julian asks the executive to confirm that they will be available to man the stall at the following times:
Wed: Julian, Ravi, Sam, Amit, Mel, Sashi, Claire, TJ
Thurs: Julian, Ravi, Sam, Fi, Jake, Victor, Sashi
Tues: Julian all day, (Lillian 11-3)
Location has been an issue. Currently examining options for changing stall location on the Thursday. Ravi informs the exec that there is no room for movement with C&S, our tent is locked down where it is.
Flyers to be handed out during O-week are shown.
5. 1st Year BBQ
Samantha informs the exec that the BBQ will start at 5pm on Thursday March 2 and gives each exec member an item to bring along.
6. Schools’ training
Victor informs exec members of when he wants them to come in and the take-up of schools. While it is currently slow this is not a cause for worry as yet.
7. Easters
Jake informs the exec of the lack of information coming out of the ANU Easters crew, however rego is estimated at $225. Meanwhile on the bus front, unfortunately Melbourne uni, in particular Nicole, are wise to any possible move by MAD to overcharge MUDS for seats on the bus. Prices are considerably more expensive than they were for the 2004 bus trip to Sydney.
8. MDR
The deadline for a release of the MDR has been pushed backwards by the MDR committee to Australs, as Easters will be too early. The exec expresses some surprise at this, and wishes for better communication from the committee in future.
9. Answering machine
Julian asks the exec to please have a go at replacing his incredibly crap answering machine message.
10. Room bookings
Lydia Sper from MUFCO sent a fax through – the rooms we need are booked for weekends. Unfortunately still no word on Monday Meetings - unfortunately this must wait until after allocate does its thing.
11. Office Hours
Julian asks the exec to select their office hours. As timetables are not out as yet, the exec asks Julian to chill.
12. Silvertongue
Silvertongue is off at the printers. Mel thanks the exec for their contributions.
