How to find modules

A list of available modules has been provided to the Study Abroad Office at your home university.

Restrictions

Modules in Health (Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Mental Health, Physiotherapy, etc.) and Education are restricted. Students who want to study Education modules will only be allowed to take modules from the Education Studies programme. Modules in the area of Mass Communication are limited and offered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Places on modules of the Film and TV programme are extremely limited and we can only support applications from candidates who will stay at UH for the full academic year and have practical experience of film making (camera work, editing & post production). Please submit evidence of this if you select these modules.

Undergraduate exchange students, with the exception of Law students, are not usually permitted to take Masters/level 7 modules.

Any modules with codes that contain ‘CEP’, ‘FBS’, ‘FTC’, ‘FDA’, ‘FCO’, ‘FHH’, ‘FEN’, ‘IFS’ or ‘FHE’ are modules taught at our franchised partners and not at UH, do not select these. Do not choose modules with titles that contain ‘(HIC)’, these are also franchised modules.Modules beginning with AHP or NMH are unavailable to exchange students as they are professional/clinical-based degree programmes.

Exceptionally, students may be able to make changes to their module selection/learning agreement upon arrival at UH, though this is usually only possible in the event of timetable/schedule clashes.
