MJFC “Easter” Newsletter

Early March 2015

Happy Easter

“Happy Easter” (well almost) to everyone at the club & a massive well done for the Season so far!

ESF Festival of Football – Butlins, Skegness, May 2015

With the ESF Festival of Football at Butlins Skegness Early May Bank Holiday 2015 fast approaching parents and individual teams are reminded to make final arrangements for the trip.

Fundraising and organising has been left to individual teams/age groups this year, please can all team organisers make arrangements for anything raised to be shared amongst each team player attending. Also there is still plenty of time yet to organise some team fundraising! The club will be only too pleased to promote this via the Club website or Club Face book page if requested.

The Club are planning to arrange Polo shirts for all players, to use at the ESF Festival and also to be used for future League and Club presentations. We would really like to promote a common club image and the Children really do look smart in the club Black & Red Colours.

Could parents please advise their Team Manager/Coach of their Childs required Polo Shirt size before the end of March, so we can arrange to have them ordered and delivered in good time, also if you still have a Polo Shirt from last year and it still fits and is in good condition could you please re-use, again advise you are doing this.

Playing and Training Kit Reminder

The Club has invested a lot of resources into providing players with New Training Kit, Playing Kit, Sweaters and Rain Jackets for this season. Parents and Players are kindly reminded all playing, training kit & sweaters will need to be returned at the end of the season in as good a condition as possible. We do not require the return of socks or rain Jackets.

Our online Club Shop now available to purchase Club Branded Merchandise should you wish, such as Hoodies, Hats etc. as seen at the Club Xmas Party or additional Training Kit. A contribution from every purchase made will go to club funds. Please visit:

Next Season

We are now making plans for next season with the intention of growing the club even further and delivering an even better experience for players, coaches and their families. Here is how you can help:

Club Committee

The committee do a vital job in delivering everything that players’, coaches and families need to make a success of the football club. Lots of work goes on behind the scenes to make this happen. Some volunteers to join the committee and help the club grow next season are still required. Can you help? Please get in touch with Richard Atherton on 07739 048902 if you can offer some time and support. Particular help is required in Fundraising and the End of Season Presentation along with other Club event planning and organising.

Club sponsorship

To provide quality equipment and facilities like we do, the club needs sponsorship each season. Anyone with any business or contacts who might like to sponsor the club is most welcome to get in touch. It is surprisingly cheap for a company to sponsor a kit or equipment and provides great local coverage for a company. For more information please contact Tom Chaplin on 0780 308 3012.

A Polite Reminder

Would all spectators, parents, players and visitors to the Monkseaton High School Grounds please adhere to the following: -

1) All Litter in particular Plastic Bottles to be disposed of in Bins provided at Car parks/entrance to the

playing Fields, please do not leave this on or around the playing pitch, as they often get chopped up when the grass is cut and do pose a hazard.

2) No Dogs are allowed within the School grounds.

3) Smoking is prohibited anywhere and everywhere within the School grounds.

RESPECT: - The club follow the FA Guidelines info can be found at: -

A respect area is set out via pitch markers/cones prior to the start of each game, would all spectators please adhere to remaining behind this marked area and not encroach onto the pitch or touchlines at any time. Spectators are also reminded to remain on the opposite side of the Pitch to all coaches and must not stand behind either Goal.

The MJFC Committee

The Monkseaton Juniors FC committee is committed to providing your child with a fantastic junior football experience through great quality coaching and equipment, and an encouraging supportive atmosphere at prices that are good for parents.

If you have any concerns, issues or feedback for the committee please don’t hesitate to contact any of us below. We’d love to know how you think we’re getting on in only our second season and would be glad of any help or expertise parents can offer.
