TRANSLATION EXPERIENCE
I have eight years experience of translation and have translated documents and websites for many large public and private sector actors, including: The European Parliament, European Commission, The French Interior Ministry, The Government of Tunisia, Lovable, Microsoft, Quiksilver and SEPA. I also translate on a contractual basis for the British Ministry of Defence, specialising in medical translation.

WRITING AND EDITING EXPERIENCE
I have had over 50 feature articles, columns and reviews published and syndicated widely across the online and print media. I have written both on subjects emanating from my academic research and other areas of general interest including music, politics and sport. I have also worked around Europe as a journalist on a freelance basis for seven years.
I have experience in editing and commissioning articles and features for magazines, both as a contributory editor and English editor in chief - completing a Convention de Stage in Paris in the latter in summer 2008.
RATES
TRANSLATION

CONTRACTUAL (0.05 Euro/source word)

This is for clients with whom I work regularly (i.e. several times a month) and so they benefit from a special rate.

REGULAR (0.06 Euro/source word)

This is my standard default rate

SPECIAL (0.07-0.10 Euro/source word)

This is for urgent, fast-turnaround work or texts that require extra localisation or fact checking. The exact rate is dependent on the text in question and is open to negotiation.

All rates are inclusive of proofreading and where necessary my work is verified by an independent third party, meaning you will never receive a poor translation from me.

PROOFREADING

STANDARD (0.02 Euro/source word)

SPECIAL (0.03-0.04 Euro/source word).

Where it is not possible to calculate the number of words in the source document, it is my standard practice to calculate on the target word count.
