Miss Scotties Softball is pleased to be hosting

an ASA Invitational Tournament.

Insurance Certificate and Roster must be received prior to playing any game!

GROUND RULES:

No tobacco or alcoholic beverages at our facility. Please put litter in its place. No personal grills allowed in the park.

No softball on the soccer fields.

  • No metal cleats.

We prefer if you do not bring dogs, but if you do, they MUST be on a leash at all times.

No metal spiked cleats are allowed.

Pool Play games only – Teams may choose to bat up to their entire roster, however ASA substitution rules still apply.

Teams must warm-up on the grass. No infield warm-ups. Please be courteous & share the field.

Seeding is based on wins/losses, runs allowed, runs scored and finally a coin flip.

  • If a team is playing a fourth pool play game, upon completion of the fourth game there will be a blind draw with the tournament director, head coach and witness to determine which game of the four will be thrown out/not counted towards determining seeding for Sunday elimination play.

Pool play games may end in a tie. Teams receive 2 points for win, 1 point for tie, 0 points for loss.

Home team is determined by coin flip during pool play. On elimination day, best seed chooses.

Dugouts may be claimed on a first come, first serve basis.

All games, except semi-finals and championships have a 1:40 time limit (unless otherwise noted). That is, no new inning maybe started after 1:40. The umpire’s timepiece is the official clock. The semi-final and championshipgames have no time limit. Once an inning begins, it must be completed. However, if the home teamis ahead and batting when time expires, the game is over and the inning is not completed.

International tiebreaker after 7 innings or after time limit expires and inning has ended.

Courtesy runner allowed for pitchers and catchers only.

Teams must be ready to play 15 minutes prior to game time.

All protests will be settled "on the spot" by the Umpire in Charge. The decision of the Umpire is FINAL. Protests must involve rule interpretation; judgmentcalls may not be protested.

The mercy rule WILL terminate all games: 15 RUNS AFTER 2½ OR 3, 12 RUNS AFTER 3½ OR 4 AND 8 RUNS AFTER 4½ OR 5. Be considerate & do not run up the score.

Any person ejected from a game is not allowed at the facility for the rest of the tournament.

Trophy ceremony immediately follows championship game.

Please report your scores to the “scorer’s table” after each game. The scorer’s table will be located at the concession stand. Both teams must confirm your scores at the conclusion of each game. The HOME team’s book will be considered the official book.

Forfeits recorded as 7-0 score.

Please inform the tournament director (via the concession stand) of any issues with the facilities. We would appreciate being informed about overflowing trash cans and bathroom problems.
