4.1 / Peer workforce, recovery model / To be carried over to next meeting
4.2 / Guest Speaker: TAFE Queensland (Leisha, Renee & Kay)
· TAFE are offering a variety of courses, certificates and Diplomas to people in the community
· Would like to receive feedback from the network and community needs re training
· Would like to be able to support through mental health programs participate & assist.
· Suggestions of a Survey to network members around transition from community supports to other supports. Training supports for NDIS – TAFE e.g. SMBI
· No training budget for workers in the community sector may be possible to offer something through TAFE min 10 people required, NDIS or ongoing community mental health programs for example
· Courses for peer support, what does community need, where are the gaps?
· Bay Islands possibility of outreach services to the islands often miss out, what Cert IV / Diplomas are needed?
· Students referred from Centrelink receive a low fee/costs for courses – must be referred from Centrelink, and what numbers are being sent through to TAFE
· TAFE – SEED program / Obtain information from TAFE about fees/funding options, courses

5.1 / SMBI Update – BIC Islands community Centre (Lilly)
· Legal – MOU signed, permission to occupy approved
· RCC – Macleay island – services to now coordinate what days they will be using the centre
· Will use calendar for this, hope to have in place soon
· Launch will be held 2nd half November, Lilly will email when date is confirmed.
· Mini Expo, display brochures for service providers
· Jamie Oliver starts on – 10th October.
· Any clients interested - $100 non concession, $50 concession: health eating/cooking programs
5.2 / EOI for co-chairs, meeting dates, feedback
· We would like to call for expressions of interest for a new co-chair to support Michael and Bec, Sharon will be stepping down due to service changes and commitments.
· New chair starting 2017 meetings
· EOI open for 2-3 weeks, please email Michael/Bec if you would like to nominate yourself or someone who you feel would be suitable
5.3 / NDIS
· Service groups losing funding, transition to NDIS for both servcies and employees
· Support to be offered under the network for services who may lose fudning with the transition to NDIS and likewise workers who may lose employment / Agenda item for next meeting

6.1 / Mental Health Week Update – Thrive by the Bay – 29th September 2016
Stall on SMBI Islands – Karragarra
· Thank you to everyone for their input.
· 2nd Oct – Karragarra event on islands, share stall, if interested please contact Lilly/Michael
6.2 / Bayside Care Coordination Panel
· First meeting held in August with 1 referral, very complex however good starting point, was great to have services around the table
· Escalation point for issues to go through HHS team leader Ken Meldrum
· Looking for a local consumer advocate, if anyone knows of any services please let Bec know.
· Accepting referrals for next meeting, please send in – 13th October Headspace 10-12 / Bec to send forms and minutes out
6.3 / Feedback from WOW training
· 5 day intensive on Wheel training.
· Health & wellbeing framework.
· Universal framework, not mental health specific.
· Introductory 1 day courses 14/15 participants in training.
· Linked to HUBS Relationships Australia, early action & prevention, great work that Jan Elston has been working on
· Funded through the Mental Health Commission, looking at ongoing ways to support the framework
· Impact assessment toll as part of wheel - are needs being met? What are the impacts on people?
6.4 / MHPN – Homelessness Community forum
· Sept MHPN postponed to November.
· RCC – homelessness response – emergency support
· MICAH – RCC Lilly follow up
· Wesley mission contact interested in offering supports across Redlands and to share learnings from Logan
· Venue – TAFE Alexandra Hills or Wynnum
· Andre – road home outcomes – there didn’t seem to be any outcomes following the amount of work that went into this project??
· Date for November MHPN will be the 24th November venue to be confirmed / Re-do issues local to Redlands Bayside community response.

Crime Stoppers – police Remembrance day 18th November. Charity golf day, fund day flyer attached.
Open Minds – lost first site transition to NDIS which will be Ipswich transition, coordinators role with 3 workers.
