MINUTES OF THE ORDINARY MEETING
OF GEELONG MAJOR EVENTS
HELD AT CITY HALL
GHERINGHAP STREET, GEELONG
MONDAY 17 JULY 2017 COMMENCING AT 4.00PM
PRESENT: Roger Grant, Brett Luxford (Acting Chair/CEO Proxy), Julie Maxwell, Brian Cook, Mark Stone, Russell Morris and Dean Anglin
Also present: Sharon Cockerell (GME Executive Officer), Tim Ellis (Manager, Enterprise Geelong & Events), Fiona Gray (Manager, Central Geelong & Waterfront), Kaz Paton (Manager, Arts & Culture), Helen O’Beirne (Team Leader) and Teresa Seg (Minutes).

OPENING: The Chairperson welcomed the Committee and declared the meeting open at 4:01pm. The Chairperson gave a special welcome to Manager, Social Planning and Investment, Ian Hicks attending his first GME meeting.

That the Minutes of the Ordinary Meeting held on 15 May 2017 be accepted as a true and accurate record of the meeting and be confirmed and signed.

14.2 Date of Next Ordinary Meeting - Monday 18 September 2017. The Geelong Major Events Committee meeting will begin at 4:00pm at City Hall Meeting Room 3.

The meeting was closed to the public at 4.38pm on Monday 17 July 2017.

That Geelong Major Events close the meeting to the public in accordance with Section 89 (2) (d) of the Local Government Act, to consider contractual matters.
