4)Minutes of the Kangwon Land (KOR) May 29th, 2012Meeting were approved.

5)Report of the Chairman

The Chairman reported on the 2012-13 Season. Please see Appendix 1.

6) Report World Criterium 2013 in Megeve (FRA).

The Chairman gave his report on the last WCM and considered that all in all it was a very good WCM. The Chairman commented on the necessity of having at least two TD´s for WCM. One week of snowfalls before the event brought to changes in the program and, although all medal events were successfully organized, the FMC GS had to be cancelled. Mr. Herbert invited the NSA representatives to organize education on MAS Rules during TD Clinics and Updates in each country.

7)Cross Country Masters

Mr. Herbert propose to the FIS President the name of Georg Zipfel (GER) to substitute Mr. Schelbert along with an analysis of the present situation. Mr. Rolando Galli read a report of Mr. Giacomo Camozzini (see Appendix 2) on the Asiago (ITA) Masters World Cup held from 15th to 22nd February 2013 with 1174 competitors of 26 Nations . The 2014 World Cup will be held in Pillerseetal (AUT).

8)Report on Snowboard Masters

Mr. Arnhold gave his report on SB MAS activities, please see Appendix 3.

9)Statistics

The Chairman presented (for the first time available) a set of statistical data on participation number s from 2010 to 2013 for each race as a valuable tool for Committee decisions based on official results and FIS published FMC final standings:

2012/13 – 34 races (4 cancelled)

855 participants, 5595 FMC starts

Average participation per race 165 (172 through 4 years)

10)Calendar 2013/14

The Calendar was approved as per Appendix 4

11)Report on Software/FIS System

Visit of Mrs. Luessy, Mr Cattaneo and Mr Defago: Minor formal details coordinated, transfer of results for points lists and FMC standings worked wee. On the last race day the final results and diplomas were printed within two hours to be presented at the awards ceremony. Mr Cattaneo will implement a penalty (suggestion 1 point) to solve the zero problem on a single participation during the season (only one result). The change of age for YOB was implemented in the FMC Standings. The Chairman expressed our gratitude for the efficient work all year, big applause for them and Elena Gaja (TD at the FMC Finals).

12)FIS MAS Points List

Mrs. Luessy´s proposal for printing deadlines were approved:

The first Masters Alpine FIS Points List will be published on July 1st, 2013; the second on October 31st 2013 and the third with results up to March 9th 2014, in time for the WCM 2014.

13)Overall FMC , Finals, Points

Mr. Defago agreed to produce a list of the number of participants per Nation out of the final FMC standings.

14)Double Points Rule for Finals

The Sub-Committee discussed and reaffirmed the importance of the “double point” system as it has proved to be very effective raising the participation in the finals and the presence of crystal globe winners.

15) Preview Future World Criteriums

The 2014 the World Criterium will take place in Hochkar (AUT) from March 25th to 29th all preparations are online .

In 2015 the WCM will be organized by the official Italian candidate of Abetone March 24th to 28th.

For 2016, both candidates Rokytnice nad Jizeroud (CZE) and Switzerland (Scuol) are restricted to the year of 2016 due to sponsoring arrangements and/or public funding. The Sub-Committee awarded the 2016 WCM to the official candidate of CZE - Rokytnice nad Jizeroud for the dates of February 29th to March 4th 2016.

In 2017 – If an organizing resort can be presented by SUI until the FIS International Ski Congress in Barcelona 2014, SUI will get the preference over North America, the NSA in line as per our rotation system.

16)Equipment Rule

No changes affecting MAS racing.

17)New Proposals

17.1 – Proposal from AUT for a new wording of Rule MAS 72) was approved (see Appendix 5).

17.2 – Proposal from AUT for rule MA 82) is tabled.

It is agreed in principal that to introduce a standard for FMC Races. A Internal Working Group is installed with Mr. H. Herbert, Mr. S. Arnhold, Mr. A. Malugani, Mr. R. Galli and Mr. L. Vucinic to meet at the Fall Meeting in ZRH October 2nd to 6th 2013 and also, if needed, on the WCM in Hockar and at the FMC Finals in Abetone. The Chairman will present a draft.

17.3 – proposal from BRA for rule MA 81) was approved (see Appendix 5)

17.4 – proposal from BRA for the introduction of Category D for Ladies was not approved (see Appendix 6 for all BRA proposals)

17.5 – proposal from BRA for rule MA 4) was not approved. A better solution for the SG of category B in WCM should be included in a future agreement with the WCM Organizers.

17.5 – proposal from BRA for rule MA 8) b – was not approved

17.6 – proposal from BRA for an Internal Working Group to establish an Agreement with WCM Organizers was approved with the following members: Mr. H. Herbert, Mr. S. Arnhold, Mr. A. Malugani, Mr. R. Galli and Mr. L. Vucinic (meetings dates as in 17.2 above). The Chairman will bring a draft.

17.7 – proposal from BRA for an internal working group on Factor/Handicap for World Champions was not approved.

17.8 - proposal from BRA for an internal working group on the Calculated Penalty System was not approved.

18)Finances – International Masters Fund

All accounts shown by the Chairman were up to date and controlled beforehand by Honorary Member , Mr. A. Malugani, appointed by the S/Committee as the Controller. The majority of the fees due from organizers have been paid.
