To turn on the LED lights, simply flip the black switch at the base of the mirror to the “on” position (when the switch is closest to you, the switch should be right side down).

After use, always turn switch to the “off” position.

Life of batteries is calculated when using the mirror for 15 minutes at a time. Leaving the mirror on for longer will reduce thebattery life.

Replacing the batteries

The battery compartment is located on the bottomside of the mirror. To insert the batteries for the first time or to replace old batteries, follow these steps:

  1. Before attempting to replace or insert batteries, please ensure the mirror is turned off.
  2. Lay the mirror on a flat surface, positioning it so the protruding latch is furthest away from the work surface.Push thelatchon the battery compartment cover down towards the table toopen the battery cover.
  3. The compartment holds four AA batteries. Allfour batteries are required (not supplied) and must be properlypositioned for the unit to operate.

To replace the batteries, simply remove the old batteries, and replace with new ones, noting the correct polarity. The negative (flat) end of each battery should rest against the spring, and the positive (raised) end should face the terminal. These batteries lie parallel to the work surface.

  1. Once the batteries have been inserted, replacethe battery compartment cover by placing the edge with two rectangular shapes protruding, into the internal edge of the battery compartment, closest to the table. Ensure that the smoother side of the cover is facing inwards towards the batteries. Lever the cover in towards the base until it clicks shut.
  2. Your mirror is now ready for you to use.
