The Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on the 29th March 2012 were proposed by Cllr Fennell and seconded by Cllr Cawthorn , the minutes were unanimously accepted as a true record and signed by the Chairman.

It was proposed by Cllr Cawthorn and seconded by Cllr Fennell that the year end accounts were accepted as a true record this was unanimously agreed and the accounts were signed by the Vice Chairman

Eaton:
a) Queens Jubilee Celebrations – The Parish Council had been approached by the organizers of a joint Eaton and Eastwell celebration day to mark the Queens Jubilee for a donation towards cost. Any surplus funds after the event to be donated between the Eaton Park Community Association and Eastwell Village Hall Funs. It was proposed by Cllr Fennell and seconded by Cllr Hewson that a donation of £300.00 be made under S137, this was unanimously agreed.

Eastwell:
a)Eastwell Village Hall : Cllr Cawthorn reported that the application to the Big Lottery Fund for a Grant towards the cost of building the new hall was in process. Cllr Cawthorn also stated that if this application was unsuccessful it would put the project back by several years. Cllr Cawthorn also confirmed more basic fund raising was continuing including a Cottage Pie Supper the following night.

Mowing / Hedging Contract:
The Clerk confirmed he had contacted T Smith Garden Services and enquired whether they were prepared to look at their quote. A revised quotation had been submitted which fell within the cost parameters and the contract as agreed at the previous meeting had been placed for a further 12 months. In view of the substantial hedging work that had been done the contract for further hedging would be revisited in the Autumn when it would be known how much work was required.

Meeting and Training:
Cllr Cawthorn had attended the area forum and advised that Cllr Rhodes had given an update on various matters, the one of most interest being that it was hoped to improve broadband locally by the end of the summer.
Cllr Gatehouse had attended the LRALC meeting at the Borough Council offices where it was stated that the Borough Council were sharing their new facility with multi partners Registrars Office / Voluntary Services / Police.
Cllr Whiston had attended a planning meeting at Waltham Village Hall were simulated planning applications were used for training purposes.
