With reference to matters raised by the Council (i) the feedback to the video of youths playing football in the Bullring – the quality of the video was too poor to make any identification.

(ii) Young people travelling to school on scooters along Lambert Avenue without being aware of dangers associated with road safety – PCSO Davis advised that the Police do visit the schools to offer road safety advice. The main concern was that they do not wear visible clothing and have no lights. Also, Lambert Avenue houses several older persons accommodation. PCSO Davis agreed to monitor the situation.

PC 1264 Richard Neville A discussion was held regarding the loss of PC 1264 Richard Neville from Shepshed to Beaumont Leys in February 2015 as a result of a restructure of Leicestershire Police. It was RESOLVED to send a letter of concern to Sir Clive Loader, Chief Constable Simon Cole, Sgt Paul Latham and Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP as Shepshed is growing as a result of additional development, therefore, needs more Police.

There has been a recent increase in crime. The Police Authority requests S106 money towards more Police and Police Stations, however, Shepshed has already lost a Police Station and is now to lose a Police Constable. The Police also gain revenue from Council Tax. S106 monies should be utilised for the locality and not for a central pot.
