Club Finances / Simon Woodward
The 2014/15 annual accounts were presented Simon commented that the single biggest expense were £1649 representing the UKA affiliation fees followed by the Christmas meal (though these costs were offset by the ticket income). Coach hire was £1255. Hiring the Stowe track was £936 and junior training was £1151. This year we had new expenses for Courses for LIRF & CIRF £1831.
The 10k race generated a healthy surplus of £7263 and Simon pointed out that the club would have run at a deficit had it not been for the 10K income highlighting the importance of the event to the club.
Membership numbers had increased and the meeting agreed to increase the subscriptions by £2 - Senior £22 and Juniors £17.

Change of Club Name / It was proposed by the committee to change the club name from Silson Joggers to Silson AC as it was felt that it wasn’t a true reflection of the club as a whole It was put to the paid members at the AGM 2015. The idea was put to the floor for decisions to open regarding the idea. We heard from Sir Frank Newton started of the decisions saying that he would be happy for the name to change providing the members could come up with one name. Mel and Graham then commented that there not happy for the name to change as it would put people off
joining an athletic club.
The meeting voted in favour of the motion
A number members then stated that the reason they joined was due to the Joggers tag and if it had been athletic club, this would have put them off.
Following the subsequent discussions that concerns were raised that some potential members would be put off joining an athletics club and it was proposed to hold the ballot on the new name.
