2  Review of Actions

See actions register.

3  CSTS Framework 921.1-R-1

The whole set of RIDs, (118 RIDs in total) received during the Review time, has been assessed and disposed.

The register with all dispositions has been uploaded by YD (Review Coordinator) on the CWE (CSTS-CWE Private-CSTS Framework and Concept-Red-1 Framework Review).

One further RID (JVP-47), produced in conjunction with the discussion on the draft TN on Forward Frame Service, is still to be finalized (see Chapter 11). It will be included in the on-going review process.

A teleconference to assess the document updated status shall be called by mid-December.

4  Concept

Not addressed in this meeting

5  Guidelines

Not addressed in this meeting

6  Monitored Data Cross Support Transfer Service 0.11a (CCSDS 922.1-R-n)

The following sentence was debated (Chapter 1.2) :

“As of the writing of this specification, a standard common set of monitored parameters and notifiable events has not been defined. CCSDS expects to develop a separate Recommended Standard to define a standard common set of monitored parameters and notifiable events that are to be implemented to the greatest extent possible by Cross Support Complexes that provide the MD-CSTS.”

It is proposed, instead, that this WG undertakes to develop a Magenta Book providing the specification of the common set of monitored parameters and notifiable events.

Consequently, this activity shall be entered in the WG charter.

After including the final set of comments received at this meeting, the MD Book shall be re-assessed against the updated version of the Framework. So, at completion of the London meeting, the book may be put on hold, until the review process for the Framework has been completed.

6.1  Parameters List and Data Dictionary :

WH presented the updated version.

Feedback on the Parameters List was received from CNES, DLR and NASA.

Their input has been addressed during the meeting.

After that, it is considered that the list is now complete, in terms of desired parameters for the existing transfer services, as well as ranging and open-loop recording.

The Agencies are requested to provide WH with the list of events they are interested to.

WH will add the semantic specification.

WH raises the point of Data representation.

PVL seems to be not really the best solution. And at the end it relies on ASN.1.

The WG agrees that it shall not be used.

However, the specification in PVL has been produced and is available in the CWE (Meeting Material 2010)

WH will look into the specification of the parameters’ syntax in the MD service, and check whether and how it needs to be extended.

Tools to convert into an XML specification a table-format input (and backward) are available. MG will analyze what can be done and how this can be supported. Also, he will look into the issue of extracting the information (that travels over the wire) and encoding into ASN.1. (A#03-1010F)

7  Tracking Data Service 0.5A

JP presented the changes to the TD Service WB since the meeting in Portsmouth. The same will be presented to the joint meeting with Nav.WG.

Unless there will be more comments/wishes from the Nav. WG members, then the book can be considered completed. However, the book can still be affected by the implementation of RIDs on the Framework. So, at completion of the London meeting, the book may be put on hold, until the review process for the Framework has been completed.

JP attended the joint meeting with Nav. WG, and he confirmed that there are no further comments.

The Nav. WG recommended to prototype the Service.

8  Return Unframed Telemetry

The draft WB from FB has been discussed.

ESA is not interested to this service. Nasa and CNES are.

It is agreed that some questions will be raised within the C&S Working Group joint meeting.

Slides have been prepared in view of that.

Joint Meeting with C&S WG: FB presented the list of open issues. The C&S WG undertakes to provide a feedback.

FB’s presentation is attached.

(from conversations after the joint session, it has been clarified that there is no need to add a 'symbol stream' capability to the CSTS unframed telemetry service).

9  Prototype

One problem was found with the operation OID. CNES will submit a RID to the FS, about how to create the OIDs.

Status of testing of the MD Service:

- Connection established

- Bind Successful

- START invocation à problem with OID (see above)

CNES will provide the input to ESA for the SPRs that need to be implemented in the context of the on-going maintenance release.

Test Plan has been produced and uploaded (it includes the ICD).

Shall the MD Service implementation continue with the missing procedures of the MD Service (Notification and Information Query)? CNES will check if/how this can be done during 2011.

It is required to produce a Report on the prototype implementation (Yellow Book).

10  Service Control CSTS

The relation with the Service Package/Service Agreement as defined via/by Service Management and the way Service Control CSTS interacts with that needs to be addressed. JP will add that description either in a dedicated chapter or in the Service Summary or the Service Management chapter, as appropriate

Also, the issue of allowing and synchronizing the execution of events within the on-going schedule at the provider side and within the execution of mission operations at user side needs to be addressed.

The relevant guarding conditions shall be addressed.

(Example from SLE-CLTU: execution of Throw-Event is prevented when CLTU are enqueued for radiation).

More comments to the draft WB were addressed. JP has taken notes in view of updating the document.

MdG will prepare an input for introducing this service in the WG’s charter. However, first it is required that each Organization provides a statement of the interest in this service.

11  Forward Frame CSTS .

JP gave a presentation summarizing the concepts out of the Technical Note “Strawman Forward Frame Cross Support Transfer Service Description” (see Annex A).

Namely, the following was addressed:

1) definition of the services to be supported via the F-Frame Services

1.a) Synchronous:

·  transfers frames

·  channel access data units

1.b) asynchronous: transfer frames

2) suitability of the CSTS Specification Framework to support the synchronous forward service
