MINUTES of a Denton Parish council meeting held on Monday 26th October 2015 at 7.30 pm at Denton Village Hall

Present: Cllr K Hiley (In the Chair), Cllrs Crush, Geeson, Hollyer, and Sir Bruno Welby. There were no members of the public.

25/15.Apologies from Cllr Brady who had a family commitment and from Cty Cllr Bob Adams. Thoughts were expressed to Cllr Brady's family.

26/15.It was resolved to sign the Minutes of the meeting held on 20th July 2015.

27/15Cllr Crush declared an interest in item 4 of the Agenda.

28/15 Quarry : A copy letter had been received from Lincolnshire County Council addressed to Mick George Ltd being a notification under Regulation 22 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations 2011. This entailed a lot more work for Mick George Ltd to carry out. They will need to justify various statements and provide more detailed information and investigation. More boreholes have been drilled on site.

29/15 Highways: [a] Clerk gave an update on outstanding matters from Highways - she will chase clearing of the vegetation on Denton Hill, the filling of the pothole at the Harston Road/Belvoir Road triangle at the junction, and request again that the footpath be opened up between Harlaxton and Denton on the A607. [b] More information is required regarding the duties of a Snow Warden and how the scheme operates – clerk to request. [c] Litter bin is being emptied satisfactorily. [d] The inspection of Footpath 4 is reported as being satisfactory for a rural footpath, by Lincs CC. Clerk to request again for any assistance in regulations regarding Billy & Belinda bollards.

30/15 Canal : – Clerk to check whether the positioning of a new litter bin by the Canal Society is on the Denton side or Barrowby side of Casthorpe Road Bridge. It is the Barrowby side where cars park.

31/15BT cabinet – Clerk to speak with Mike Brown of Highways, regarding a letter sent to him by Brian McNulty on 31st July.

32/15Planning –312 Park Lane – withdrawn. 140 Main Street – not yet determined. The Stables extensions, 77 Main Street extensions and The Agents House tree works – all approved.

33/15 Hedges – Bullimores Cottage now satisfactory but Denton Lodge still leaning over footpath – Clerk to ask Highways to intervene.

34/15Fracking – resolved that an open meeting prior to the Parish Council meeting in January should be held so that Dave Bridge can give a short talk to the community. Cllr Hollyer to get a suitable date and Clerk will then put an item in the Newsletter.

35/15Risk Assessment – Clerk to issue and this to be an Agenda item for the January meeting.

36/15Defibrillator – Chair is waiting to hear from Steve Pratten concerning registration of the equipment and training.

37/15Newsletter – Clerk has most of the editorial and will circulate draft for approval.

38/15Financial:

(i)Bank balance at 30.9.15 - £4,171.25.

(ii)It was resolved that the Receipts/Payments schedule be signed.

(iii)Clerk distributed a Budget-v-Actual report for information.

39/15Councillors : Nothing to report/request.

40/15Date of next meeting: 7th December 2015.
