392/05TO RECECIVE INFORMATION FROM RESIDENTS REGARDING SEVERN HOSPICE SHOP SIGNAGE AND ALTERATIONS TO THE DOORS Letters from residents in the Town were received. Councillors were of the opinion that the sign was initially an eyesore but now seems to have blended in to the street. The door has been tastefully restored. Cllr Smith stated that she is not keen on Spice Club frontage or McColls frontage, but that is her opinion and it seems that different people have different opinions. She stated that Severn Hospice has gone through all the correct planning procedures and we must accept that.
392/06TO RECEIVE 5 MINUTE PRESENTATION FROM FRIENDS OF ALLT GOCH AND TO DISCUSS AGREEMENT FOR ALLT GOCH BETWEEN LLANIDLOES TOWN COUNCIL AND TIR COED AS DRAWN UP BY CLLR DAVIES AND CLLR MILLS. David Lewis spoke on behalf of the Friends of the Woods, and found the comments as reported in the County Times surprising. He expressed concern that the agreement has still not been completed and is fearful that the woods will become privatised. Mr Lewis was thanked for his presentation
392/07TO RECEIVE QUOTATIONS AND DISCUSS PURCHASE OF NEW MOWER Cllr Davies reported that only one quotation has been received. 2 more will be found and then the mower will be ordered.
392/08TO LOOK AT QUOTATIONS FOR ROSPA PLAYGROUND INSPECTIONS Clerk gave details of 3 quotations received. Clerk was asked to find out if the quotations are like for like.
392/09TORECEIVE INFORMATION ON THE AL SAWALYA (PALESTINIAN) VISIT TO LLANIDLOES (Cllr Crisp)Cllr Crisp gave a brief resume of a welcome evening she attended.
392/10TO RECEIVE NOMINATIONS AND ELECT MAYOR 2015 – 16 Nominations for Cllr Davies to become Mayor were received. Cllr Crisp proposed and Cllr G. Morgan seconded. Cllr Davies was unanimously voted as Mayor for 2015 – 16.
392/11TO RECEIVE NOMINATIONS AND ELECT DEPUTY MAYOR 2015 -16 Nominations for Cllr Mills to become Deputy Mayor were received. Cllr Crisp proposed and Cllr Breeze seconded. Cllr Mills was unanimously voted as Deputy Mayor for 2015 -16.
392/12TO DISCUSS QUOTATIONS FOR REFURBISHMENT OF THE SNOOKER ROOM (FLOOR SANDING, AND ALTERATIONS TO THE TOILET) Clerk informed Council that the cost of alterations to the current urinal will be approx £1,000. Further quotations will be sought before the works are carried out.
392/13TO DISCUSS TOWN COUNCILS’ PART IN CAMPAIGNING TO SAVE THE DAY CENTRE (Cllr G. Morgan)Cllr Morgan stated the importance of the petition to save the Day Centre and hoped as many people as possible will sign it. Due to cuts in funding the Centre will survive until March 2016, but due to cuts in the budget, other organisations (third sector) will be sought to run the centre. The total annual cost of running Llanidloes Day Centre is currently £189,000.
392/14TO RECEIVE INFORMATION REGARDING BREAK IN AT THE CEMETERY (Cllr Mills) Cllr Smith explained, in the absence of Cllr Mills, that the storage building at the Cemetery was broken into during the daytime on Saturday 7thMarch. A Generator, Strimmer and Mowers were taken. Police have taken finger prints and an Insurance claim has been submitted. Quotations for replacements will be looked at during the next Burial Board meeting
392/15TO DISCUSS THE FOLLOWING PLANNING APPLICATIONS
P2015/0196 Replacement of 2 white wooden windows to front of property with white wood grain astro bar windows at 17 Brook Street, Llanidloes, Powys – Unanimously No Objections
Cllr Crisp informed Council that she attended a meeting with a view to look at bridle paths in connection with the Rhiwbrongelly Wind Farm proposal. Town Council agreed that if the application is approved, the Town needs to tap into theWindfarm money.

392/17COUNCILLORS QUESTIONS and Clerks report
Cllr Davies read out an Invitation to all Councillors to attend a presentation evening at Llanidloes Youth Centre on Wednesday 15th April at 7 pm
Cllr Crisp asked permission for leaflets to be printed for Town Walks – Councillors unanimously voted in favour
Cllr Whittal Williams asked if Clerk could find out about repair works to the Roundabout on entrance to the Town following recent accidents
Cllr Margot Jones asked if there was any further information regarding the Police station – Clerk will chase up
Clerks report (as attached) was presented to Council.
i) Dog Fouling – it was agreed that more signage and bins should be installed. Clerk will speak to the Clerk at Welshpool to find out how they are tackling the problem
ii)Security at the Town Hall - Cllr Davies will look into cost of CCTV
iii) Rental of Rooms at the Town Hall – Council agreed that permanent rental of the Committee Room and Snooker room is open to negotiation through Mr Andrew Turner at Morris Marshall & Poole. The Coach house would be used for casual rental at a reasonable rate to allow small meetings and will be withdrawn from McCartneys lettings.
