ICC Minutes for Regular Meeting
Monday, August 30, 2010
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Inter-Club Council met, commencing at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, August 30, 2010, via video link in Room 805-MVC, and Room 200-SJC. The starting time listed for the meeting is approximate. Public testimony will be invited in conjunction with discussion on each item.

II. Introductions – Ashley Cook introduced herself as the 2010-2011 Inter-Club Council President. Other introductions: SGA Advisor Donna Wilder and SGA/PTK Staff Support Specialist Sandi Uhrig.
III. ICC Club Reports & Information. President Ashley explained that this is the time of the meeting when ICC Reps make reports to the Board for items that do not already appear on the Agenda]
A. ICC President and SGA Advisor spoke in general about the following topics
1. How Meetings are Run – Parliamentary Procedure and the Brown Act
2. Club Requirements
i. Each semester Clubs are required to turn in an updated Charter and Club Member List
ii. Each club must have a designated ICC Rep who attends ICC Meetings
iii. Each club was asked to provide the following: brief description of club; dates and times for meetings; and web page information
3. ICC Secretary – President Ashley asked for volunteers to serve in the very important role of ICC Secretary
B. ICC Club Reps – No reports
C. Advisor/Staff Support
1. Donna explained that ASB is changing their name to SGA – Student Government Assocation. The transition will take about a year, since all materials need to be changed to reflect the new name.
2. Donna thanked all the clubs that participated in the Welcome Back BBQs. They were well attended on both campuses, and 2 lucky students (one from each campus) won an HP Photo Printer.
IV. Public Comment
This time is reserved for members of the public to address the Inter-Club Council on issues not already appearing on the agenda. A limit of 5 minutes per speaker and 20 minutes per topic shall be enforced.
V. Discussion Items
A. SGA Events and Unified ICC/SGA events. Donna explained that SGA hosts a BBQ each month, and clubs are encouraged to join in. Clubs are also encouraged to work with other clubs to host events together.
B. Calendar of Events–College Hour. Clubs are asked to host at least one event each semester during College Hour (Tuesday and Thursday between 12:30 and 2:00).

MSJC Inter-Club Council meetings are open and minutes recorded per The Brown Act of California. Minutes shall be subject to inspection by members of the public in accordance with The Brown Act.
The next scheduled meeting will be on Monday, September 20, 2010 commencing at 9:00 a.m. via video conferencing.
MVC will meet in Room 805 and SJC will meet in Room 1111.
