L.1.a.Bylaw 13579 – To amend Bylaw 7464, as amended, being The Palisades Area Structure Plan

PURPOSE

To designate a site for institutional uses and realign the collector roadway connection to 167 Avenue.

L.1.b.Bylaw 13580 – To amend Bylaw 7044, as amended, being The Palisades Area Structure Plan, through an amendment to the Carlton Neighbourhood Structure Plan

PURPOSE

To re-designate a portion of land from low density residential to institutional and realign 139 Street to the east.

L.1.c.Bylaw 13581 – To amend the Zoning Bylaw from (AG) Agricultural Zone to (US) Urban Services Zone; located south of 167 Avenue, east of 142 Street, Carlton

PURPOSE

To allow privately and publicly owned facilities of an institutional or community service nature.

L.BYLAWS

L.1.d.Bylaw 13588 – To amend the Zoning Bylaw from (CNC) Neighbourhood Convenience Commercial Zone to (CB1) Low Intensity Business Zone; located at the southwest corner of 95 Avenue and 149 Street, Sherwood

PURPOSE

To allow for low intensity commercial, office, and service uses on the site.

D. Aujla, on behalf of H. Parhar, was in attendance to speak in favour of the passing of Bylaw 13588.

Deputy Mayor M. Phair asked if there was any objection to Bylaws 13597 and 13598 being read together. No one objected.

L.1.e.Bylaw 13597 – To amend Bylaw 10704, as amended, being the Boyle Street/McCauley Area Redevelopment Plan 

PURPOSE

To amend Maps 3, 9, 10 and 15, add additional text, and a new Objective 6 and Policy 4 concerning heritage building conservation, to the ARP.

L.1.f.Bylaw 13598 – To amend the Zoning Bylaw from (CB1) Low Intensity Business Zone and (RF6) Medium Density Multiple Family Zone to (DC1) Direct Development Control Provision; located east of 97 Street and north of 106 Avenue, McCauley 

PURPOSE

To recognize the municipal designation of the Hull Block as a historic resource, provide for an appropriate range of uses and regulations for the Hull Block and to allow for the development of a parking structure immediately to the east of the Hull Block.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaws 13597 and 13598.

L.1.g.Bylaw 13590 – To amend the Zoning Bylaw from (RSL) Residential Small Lot Zone, (RF1) Single Detached Residential Zone and (RA7) Low Rise Apartment Zone to (RF5) Row Housing Zone, (RSL) Residential Small Lot Zone and (RF1) Single Detached Residential Zone; located north of 160 Avenue and west of 130 Street, Oxford 

PURPOSE

To allow medium and low density residential housing on the site.

B. Usenik, Strata Developments, was in attendance to answer questions in favour of the passing of Bylaw 13590.

L.1.h.Bylaw 13593 – To close a portion of Terwillegar Drive on Road Plan 902 2061, located southeast of the intersection of Terwillegar Drive and 23 Avenue, Terwillegar Towne 

PURPOSE

To close a portion of Terwillegar Drive on Road Plan 902 2061. Once closed, the area would be consolidated with the abutting property.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaw 13593.

PURPOSE

To close a portion of Princess Elizabeth Avenue at 103Street. Once closed, the area will be consolidated with the adjacent property to the north.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaw 13523.

L.1.j.Bylaw 13545 – To amend Bylaw 5739, as amended, being the Edmonton North Area Structure Plan 

L.1.k.Bylaw 13546 – To amend Bylaw 5739, as amended, being the Edmonton North Area Structure Plan, through an amendment to the Eaux Claires Neighbourhood Structure Plan 

L.1.l.Bylaw 13547 – To amend the Zoning Bylaw from (AG) Agricultural Zone and (DC2) Site Specific Development Control Provision to (CSC) Shopping Centre Zone, (RSL) Residential Small Lot Zone and (RF4) Semi-detached Residential Zone; located south of 160 Avenue and east of 97 Street, Eaux Claires 

Council received formal written notification from the Applicant withdrawing these Bylaws.

L.1.m.Bylaw 13532 – To amend Bylaw 11870, as amended, being the Ellerslie Area Structure Plan 

PURPOSE

To eliminate a 0.64 ha Neighbourhood Commercial site located at the northwest corner of 15 Avenue SW and 66 Street SW and would introduce a 2.11 ha Community Commercial site located at the southwest corner of Ellerslie Road
(9 Avenue SW) and 66 Street SW.

L.1.n.Bylaw 13533 – To amend Bylaw 11870, as amended, being the Ellerslie Area Structure Plan, through an amendment to the Summerside Neighbourhood Structure Plan 

PURPOSE

To eliminate a 0.64 ha Neighbourhood Commercial site located at the northwest corner of 15 Avenue SW and 66 Street SW and would introduce a 2.11 ha Community Commercial site located at the southwest corner of Ellerslie Road and 66 Street SW. The approved Neighbourhood Commercial site is proposed to be redesignated as Medium Density Residential. The neighbourhood statistics associated with the Summerside NSP are updated to reflect the proposed changes.
