•  Claire Collins advised that NOK and Medical Forms are now able to be filled in electronically and emailed to the email listed below. Application for enrollment and Permission to use firearms forms still need to be filled out manually and returned to Claire via cadets. The electronic processing of forms will require less filling out of forms for camps and activities thus streamlining the paperwork process. A notice regarding the above has been sent home with cadets on 5th March 2012.

•  Lt Col. Galbraith addressed issue of green record of service books being kept up to date. Process is a s follow

1.  cadets are able to fill in details for front pages

2.  any courses attended can be recorded by cadets then presented to CO for signing

•  Recruitment to cadet unit

Claire Collins has made announcements in notices for all tutor groups as well as placing notices in both Parent and Student Cafe websites - recruitment packs placed in Tooth Centre reception for collection by interested parents or students

Possible 3-5 new recruits for March intake

New recruit parents to attend meeting - details of meeting in recruitment pack

2nd intake scheduled for after mid year holidays to capture year 7 students not yet eligible due to age restrictions. If recruitment interest from SPS in 2nd recruitment does not yield numbers which would see cadet unit at around 40 members then 2nd Recruitment will be opened to other prvate schools in the area. Students wishing to join from other schools would require a letter of recommendation from their principal before being considered for the SPS unit.

•  Concerns raised by supporters regarding lack of visible and easily accessible information on SPS Cadet Unit on school website and in newsletters.
