3. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher).

4. Exceptional interpersonal skills.

5. Accounting experience/training

6. K-12 school experience desired

7. Experience with Skyward school management software or willingness to be trained.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:School Principal

PURPOSE:Provide a well-organized and efficient school office. Maintain effective operation of the office to support students, staff and families.

SALARY/COMPENSATION:Placement on the administrative classified salary schedule. Benefits.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Established by Administrative Classified Bargaining Agreement. 8 hours per day with 30 minute unpaid lunch period. Additional compensated time may be required.

DUTIES:

  1. Manage school office functions under administrative direction.
  2. Receive and screen phone calls; make referrals as appropriate; respond to inquiries.
  3. Receive and screen incoming correspondence.
  4. Complete general school correspondence.
  5. Complete and disseminate weekly bulletin.
  6. Complete and disseminate monthly newsletter.
  7. Manage and post information on school electronic reader board and school website.
  8. Manage enrollment information.
  9. Manage daily financial information of the school lunch program; process free and reduced lunch program applications and manage daily and yearly food service reports.
  10. Function as School Registrar - Manage records of student attendance, grading reports, transcripts and student demographics. This includes generating monthly enrollment reports, special education reports, homeless information, etc. for Washington OSPI.
  11. Dispense medication to students and maintain records.
  12. Assist in preparing and distributing staff and student handbooks.
  13. Creation and management of student files including correspondence with other schools.
  14. Arrange for substitutes for certified staff; manage substitute files.
  15. Manage and supervise financial operations for Associated Student Body; provide financial training for ASB representatives (vice president, treasurer and assistant treasurer).
  16. Manage daily monies for district and ASB.
  17. Make daily trips to bank and post office.
  18. Manage and reconciliation of all checking accounts (InvestED, ASB, petty cash)
  19. Oversees sports packet information, records and ASB cards; provide cash boxes for ASB events at the school.
  20. Manage InvestED account.
  21. Assist graduation ceremony organizer with ordering diplomas, certificates, sashes, medals, etc.
  22. Prepare and mail registration packets for students (returning and new students).
  23. Manage EDS roles for staff.
  24. Manage driver’s education program.
  25. Manage student rosters and FTE information.
  26. Other duties as assigned.
