Dear Employers,

The MATC JOBshop invites you to participate in a spring job fair on Wednesday April 9th from 10:00am-12:00pm at the MATC Oak Creek Campus for all of our students in the welding programs. There is no charge to participate in this recruiting event. Space is limited.

The following MATC program students and alumni will be invited to the job fair: The Welding Technology Associate Degree Program and the Welding Technical Diploma Program. We will be inviting approximately 30 students as well as alumni that are registered on the TechConnect Job System.

Below, please see brief descriptions of each program.

The Welding Technology Associate Degree:

The Welding Technology Associate Degree offers comprehensive training in welding fabrication, testing and inspection. The major welding processes - manual, semiautomatic and automatic - are covered.

The Welding Technology program combines practical, theoretical and

technical training in welding fabrication. Advanced courses deal with application of welding codes to develop the expertise needed to become a Certified Associate Welding Inspector or Certified Welding Inspector.

The WeldingTechnical Diploma

The WeldingTechnical Diploma program teaches the latest techniques in welding in the manufacturing and construction industries. Students are able to read blueprints, set up and operate all welding and related equipment, and troubleshoot and maintain the equipment. Core skills include a good work ethic, safety consciousness, and an ability to work with minimal supervision.
