Issues Solved

o Issues Solved Compared to XProtect Enterprise 8.1a

· Users that were part of a group in XProtect could not manage alarms in XProtect® Smart Client.

· If you changed the domain of the server on which XProtect Enterprise was running, you were unable to log in with the built-in administrators.

· The Internet addresses of slaves in a Master/Slave setup were not updated in the system information. This caused the Milestone Mobile server to be unable to connect to the slaves.

· Archives could on rare occasions be deleted prematurely before the retention time was reached.

· The Recording Server could sometimes stop and report that the license was invalid when running with a valid license.

· Users that were part of a user group could edit views in XProtect Smart Client even though they did not have valid user rights.

· If your restored a configuration, that was made before the system was activated, the system could end up in trial mode.

o Issues Solved Compared to XProtect Smart Client 8.0a

· Making an export from a floating window could make XProtect Smart Client crash.

· When connected to an XProtect Essential or XProtect Express system, the built-in keyboard shortcuts did not work.

· Printing an image from XProtect Smart Client Player did not work.

· In independent playback, the next/previous buttons were disabled.

o Issues Solved Compared to XProtect Event Server 3.0b

· The timestamps shown in the Alarm detail window were showing the wrong time zone.

Installation/Upgrade Guide

Installation – New Installation

· Start the installation program, and proceed as instructed by the installation wizard.

Installation – Upgrade

· You can upgrade from previous versions of XProtect Enterprise. The previous version will automatically be uninstalled when you install XProtect Enterprise 2013.

· If you upgrade from XProtect Enterprise 6.5 or earlier, you need to upgrade to XProtect Enterprise 7.0 before you can upgrade to XProtect Enterprise 2013.
