Mike Schermer Outstanding Student Leader Award

2015 Application

The Outstanding Student Leader of the Year Award serves torecognize the student who provides outstanding contributions to the Illinois State University community. This student exemplifies leadership and excellence through their service and dedication to the student body. This is also demonstrated through their willingness and ability to work with others in an effort to better the quality of student life for all. They strive to achieve and excel as well as seek to improve and change things not only for themselves but for the benefit of their peers. They accept the challenges placed on them and in turn challenge those around them. Their achievements are not measured solely by their successes but also through their failures where they are able to grow and learn. The outstanding student leader is an asset not only to their organization or department, but to the University as a whole.
