INFORMATION GUIDE

ABOUT PROJECT______

We live in an age of greatest human mobility in known history, with recognition that migration is a key feature of our contemporary world and it is still one of the least understood phenomena of our time. There are different push and pull factors for migration which affects everyday life of all Europeans. There is a raising concern in Europe that massive flows of refugees and migrants may be in infiltrated by violent extremists which without evidence is presenting bad public image and therefore leads to rising of fear and xenophobia and discrimination against immigrants. Instead of focusing on infiltration there are other points where migration and violent extremism intersect, all of which are more important and can have a greater impact on the peace and prosperity of Europe. Migration is often seen as opportunity, promoted and supported by different governments and EU programs, but it is also seen as a problem.

• Exchange of experience and good practice in youth work, related to international/local migration and mobility and its influence on young people in Europe
