Making a Call

You can simply type the 5-digit extension, or the phone number in the Contacts box as shown. Double clicking the resulting item, or choosing the phone dropdown can start the call immediately.

Receiving A Call

When you have an incoming call, you will see a popup in the lower right corner similar to the picture. You can click the Accept button, or decline it to send it to voicemail.

Manage a Call

Once you’ve made or received a call, you have options for managing the call from Lync. There are several icons that will allow you to hang up, place a call on hold, use a number pad to dial digits, or invite others into the call.
Reviewing Call History
Clicking the History tab should show you your placed and received calls. This is also stored in your email in the “Conversation History” folder.

Managing Call Forwarding and Simultaneous Ring

You can configure your phone to automatically forward all calls to another number or contact, or simultaneously ring that same number or contact.
To perform this step:
  1. Go to Lync in the top navigation.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Select Phone Calls.
  4. Select the appropriate option and specify the number or contact you would like if applicable.
