Micro Business (Sole Proprietors And/Or Businesses That Employ 4 Or Fewer Employees)

Dear Chamber Member,

The MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce annually recognizes exemplary chamber businesses for their performance, innovation and community commitment. Our 2017 Excellence in Business Awards will be given to 1 business from each of the following categories:

Micro Business (sole proprietors and/or businesses that employ 4 or fewer employees)

Small Business (businesses with 5-20 employees)

Business (businesses with 21 or more employees)

Not-For-Profit (501c3 organizations, including non-profit, governmental, and educational)

Requirements:

Applicants must be a MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce member for at least one year, in good standing, and in business for at least three years as of January 2018.

Recognition:

Applicants of the Excellence in Business Awards will be honored at a luncheon on March 15 2018. Winners will be contacted in advance and a special tribute highlighting their business will be created for the award ceremony.

Selection Criteria

Judges made up of selected members of the MetroNorth Chamber will select award recipients based on the following criteria and will be primarily judged on their contributions over the last year. (Application review is kept confidential):

About us: Briefly describe your business and your history.

PERFORMANCE

Describe your businesses performance over the past year. Include how you have grown and/or sustained your business.
Job Creation. The Chamber will look at both number of employees and percent increase.
What was the total number of employees one year ago? / What is the total number of employees now?

INNOVATION

Describe innovative products, services, processes and/or technology you have introduced in the last year.

COMMUNITY

Describe your involvement in the Chamber (participation, committees, activities and sponsorship) and the community.
EXCELLENCE
List any awards or recognition from your industry or community.
