MHC Junior Newsletter March 2018

Presentation Evening Friday 23rd March 2018 6pm @ the Marlburian, Marlborough College

We are very pleased to have Ian Phillips ex Marlborough Player, current father of U8 & U12 boys and England Hockey Masters Captain, presenting the junior awards this year.

We will start at 6pm with the age group awards and we also have some great prizes for the children to win, including sticks from Cricket-Hockey.com and Crosby & Lawrence and a copy of “the History Makers” book which looks at the ladies gold medal winning team from the Olympics - this has been signed by the England Squad!

There will be drinks and snacks available for the children to purchase.

We do hope that you will be able to join us!

Registration

Priority registration for existing members will open on the 1st May and close on the 31st May. We will be moving all the groups up on Pitchero, you will then receive an email asking you to confirm your place and update any details. We will have allocated a payment request and when payment is received the place will be yours.

After the 31st May we will open up spare places to the waiting list.

Survey Results

Thank you to all who found the time to complete the club survey; the feedback was very good.

There were a number of you who answered that you would be available to volunteer; some provided names and some didn't, so please come and give names. We will of course be in touch with those whose names we have. Contacts:

There will be a number of England Hockey coaching courses taking place within an hour’s radius during the summer, an ideal time to skill up for the season. Information on courses will be posted on our Facebook page and the website.

Kit Amnesty/Lost Property

Equally we seem to have acquired a number of items; we will bring them to Presentation Evening for you to check through.

If you have any sticks that your children have grown out of and would like to donate them to the club (especially small ones) then please see Karen Jones.
