‘A TASTE OF LINCOLNSHIRE’
Metheringham Parish Council would like to invite your Business or Organisation to join us on a very special day to show our residents and visitors what a vibrant village we are. This year we plan to take the Fayre & Feast back with a real feel for the countryside we live in, with traditional crafts and real Lincolnshire Fayre.
The Village Hall itself will be turned into a Lincolnshire tea room where friends and family can meet up for a well-earned cuppa with Lincolnshire plum loaf! Memorabilia of our village, with photographs of a bygone era will be on show together with gentle family entertainment. Once again the fair will be in the Star and Garter field with their associated stalls. After the street entertainers have left the festivities will continue into the evening with a Ceilidh in the Village Hall.
The road closure this year will be larger than normal extending from Lime Tree Avenue on Fen Lane to the High Street then down to Drury Street and from the entrance to the Village Hall car park on Middle Street to the High Street.
We would like to invite you to hire one of the18stalls which will be situated in the Village Hall car park. Alternatively you may wish to select anotherpitchfor your own stall,sites for which will be available along the High Street.
Stall charges are as follows:
For those parishioners/organisations who live within Metheringham
£25 for a 10’ pitch.
For those outside our village and businesses
£40 for a 10’ pitch.
We have 18 stalls which the parish council own which will be placed in the car park of the village hall at an extra cost of £10 for those living within the village and £20 for those outside the village and businesses.
Booking forms can be downloadedfrom our website, picked up from our Parish Council Office, High Street or sent to you by post.
PLEASE NOTE: Stalls need to have a country theme
WE TRY TO MAKE THIS EVENT PAY FOR ITSELF. To achieve thisrequires a lot of help from community spirited people and so we are also appealing for volunteers to help with the organisation of this event. If you are unable to attend or help with the planning perhaps you might consider some sponsorship for our event?
