New at the Pantry

Monthly Results –December Distribution

Screening & Distribution

Monday 12/4/17 94 families 400 individuals approximately 2400 lbs. of food distributed

Saturday 12/16/17 - Screening – 146 Families; walk- ins - 25; no shows - 7 Distribution – 163 Families, 364 adults, 323 children (687 individuals). Approximately 9800 pounds of food distributed.

In addition to canned food and dry goods we distributed the following;

Panera Bread, potatoes, onions, carrots, eggs, meat, butter, Utz snack food and Holiday mealpacks from SHFB were also distributed.

Stuff A Truck – Weekend (December 9/10) donations to this month’s collection totaled 634 lbs. Additional items were donated prior to distribution on Saturday.

Sources of and cost of food for December distribution:

Second Harvest Food Bank 6757 lbs. $1768.69

Donated to Pantry 3551 lbs. $ 0

Local purchase 2731 lbs. $1299.98

Totals 13,039 lbs. $3,068.67

Food Items needed:

Pasta sauce Tuna fish (packed in water),

Canned tomatoes (low or no salt) Spaghetti

Rice Canned fruit (in own juices),

Green beans and corn Oranges

Canned Vegetables (other than green beans and corn) Soap and toilet paper.

Apples Spices and herbs

Please do not donate expired food. It cannot be distributed.

Next Monday Distribution is on January 2 instead of New Year’s Day from 4:30 to 5:45 at the pantry.

Next Screening is January 18, 2018 (9 am till 11 am) at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1620 Hanford Rd., Graham.

Next Saturday Distribution is January 20, 2018 (9 am till 12 noon) at the Blessed Sacrament School, 515 Hillcrest Ave. Burlington.
