Mercy McAuley High School, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and located in Cincinnati, Ohio, will open in fall 2018. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, Catholic secondary school Principal, who preferably has extensive experience in an all-girls educational environment.

Mercy McAuley is a new high school that combines the best traditions of more than a century of Mercy education in the Cincinnati region. Because Mercy McAuley is blending the traditions of two schools into a new entity, the Principal must embrace, support, integrate and implement the mission and values of Mercy McAuley High School by working cooperatively with the President, the Board of Directors, students, parents, and the community at large to ensure excellent academics and a robust student-centered school community.

The Principal has overall responsibility for working cooperatively with the Administrative Team, supervising faculty, administering school policies and procedures, and exhibiting a strong vision for 21st century education steeped in Catholic identity. The Principal’s leadership will focus on academics, curriculum, instruction, and experiential learning that promote Mercy education and values with respect to the Mercy McAuley core values of Catholic faith formation, compassion, service, leadership, and excellence.

The ideal candidate will:

·  Demonstrate a strong commitment to Catholic education in an all-girls secondary environment.

·  Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and charism of the Sisters of Mercy.

·  Be a strong academic leader with excellent technology skills and the ability to assess and evaluate curriculum and faculty.

·  Demonstrate strong skills in interpersonal, written and verbal communication.

·  Be confident and effective in a collaborative leadership model.

·  Be committed to the success of students and faculty.

·  Possess strong presentation and public relations skills.

Educational and professional requirements:

·  Must be a practicing Catholic with a commitment to continuing faith formation.

·  Hold a minimum of a master’s degree in education or education administration.

·  Possess a minimum of five years of experience in educational administration, preferably in a Catholic high school, with a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience preferred.
