Mr. Monti joined the firm in 2000 whenMonti,CPAmerged with KLR. Mr. Monti foundedMonti,CPAin 1981 after serving as the Director of Accounting and Strategic Planning for Warner-Lambert Company. Prior to Warner-Lambert, Mr. Monti was a Senior Audit Manager in the Providence Office of Price Waterhouse.

Mr. Monti has over 40 years of experience in the accounting and finance industry. He has made a personal commitment to serving the needs of not-for-profit organizations and closely-held businesses in New England. He is a frequent speaker and author and has been recognized by the US District Court and the Rhode Island Family Court as an expert in financial areas.

Mr. Monti received his BS Degree in 1970 from ProvidenceCollege and his Master of Arts, Ad Eundem, in 1984 from BrownUniversity. Mr. Monti also completed the Harvard University Intensive Program for Business Executives in 1979.

Mr. Monti is a Board Certified Forensic Examiner admitted with the designation of Diplomat to the American Board of Forensic Examiners and is a past member of the American College of Forensic Examiners Advisory Board for the American Board of Forensic Certified Public Accountants. He has written and developed course material and instructs two full-day seminars for the Boston Tax Institute each year. He has also served as a seminar leader for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in the national Continuing Professional Education program for CPAs.

In the fall of 1990, Mr. Monti wrote and developed the financial management course for BryantCollege’s Certificate Program in Non-Profit Management. He has also developed a one-day seminar for the BryantCollegeCenter for Management Development entitled Reading and Understanding Financial Statements. He has twice been invited to speak at the National Conference for the National SIDS Alliance on the subject of the development of the not-for-profit organization.

Mr. Monti has served at various times on the Faculty of the Providence College undergraduate and Graduate School of Business Departments, the Providence College School of Continuing Education, the Brown University department of Economics and the Brown University Learning Community. He has taught various levels of accounting, accounting theory, auditing, financial management and accounting for non-financial managers and currently has an online accounting/bookkeeping course at Bryant University.. Mr. Monti is a founder and former Board Treasurer of the NonProfit Resources of Southern New England, Inc., a member of the AICPA, a member of the Rhode Island Society of CPAs, and a member of the American Board of Forensic Examiners.
