09.HOW MANY BRANCHES HAVE YOU VISITED SINCE SEPTEMBER 2011, AND WHAT COMMON CHALLENGES HAVE YOU MET IN THOSE BRANCHES. / We have taken some of the tasks down to clusters task teams and we get regular update from clusters on branch performance.
The PEC has visited atleast 5 congregations when we have an
Event/function in that particular branch. We are currently testing a lot of processes including the above mentioned (visits done byCluster task teams & we will review& evaluate and take what’sWorking for us. We still intend to visitthe branches during their meetings
10.WHICH PROGRAMS DID YOU PLAN TO IMPLEMENT IN THE LAST YEAR. /
  1. Full implementation of Cluster system
  2. To increase number of branches
  1. Leadership Development workshops
  2. Evangelism
  3. Young Men Mutual Improvement Programme

11.WHICH PROGRAMS DID YOU SUCCEED TO IMPLEMENT IN THE PERIOD UNDER REVIEW. /
  1. Increase of branches: we have two more branches (Delft and AMT Cawa
  1. Leadership Development Workshops:
We’ve had workshops in the clusters discussing the concept (Leadership) and checking members understanding. Our next step is to empower leaders with skills to be able to lead effectively. We have identified needs and listed them in priority within clusters
  1. We have fully implemented the clustering system and we have 3 clusters (A,B & C) – although they have not performed with the same energy – we have atleast a structure which will continue to work on until it becomes perfect and become a tool that can be used by all Presbyteries. We regard ourselves as pioneers.

12.HAVE YOU IMPLEMENTED THE CAMPAIGN AGAINST LAVISH FUNERALS, IF SO HOW DID YOU IMPLEMENT IT, IF NOT WHY. / We have encouraged our members to implement this campaign
In their respective branches since the majority of our members

15.WHAT RELATIONSHIP DO YOU HAVE WITH LIKE MINDED- ASSOCIATIONS OF MEN FROM OTHER DENOMINATIONS. PLEASE NAME THE ASSOCIATON AND PROGRAMS YOU ARE EMBARKING WITH THEM. / We have encouraged all branches to build relationships with other MEN from other denominations and the feedback has been good thus far.
16.WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED DURING THE PERIOD UNDER REVIEW. /
  1. Lack of commitment from members
  2. Narrow-mindedness (reluctance to think out of the box)
Inability to analyse current situation in-order to improve
  1. Economic situation (unemployment and poverty)- is a results why other members have decided to be in-active or to leave the church as they can’t contribute financially to church.
  2. Inability to have effective and strong financial management and fundraising skills

17.HOW HAVE YOU DEALT WITH/RESOLVED THOSE CHALLENGES. / Consistent follow-up to all branch committees to give feedback to the clusters task tea
