MEN’S DIVISION and WOMEN’S DIVISION: In the 2011 season, the Charlotte Pro League is proud to offer the second season of Women’s Division teams to play in a division separate from the Men’s Division teams. This is the seventh season of play for the Charlotte Pro League, organized by the Charlotte Tennis Association.

MEN’S DIVISION

Captains: Team captains areselected by League Coordinators from volunteer players who are either draft eligible or players who have previously been draft eligible but cannot play this season due to injury.

Draft: Teams are formed by draft. Team Captains, Sponsors and Coordinators cooperate to make corporate decisions to draft teams. League Coordinators provide information to assist Captains and Sponsors who may not be familiar with all the players. Team Captains are assigned a team number in advance of the draft and may not be drafted by any other team. Captains are drafted into the position on their team that is corporately agreed to by the committee of Captains, Sponsors and Coordinators. There will not be any CO-CAPTAIN designations.

Rosters: Men’s Division teams will each consist of nine or ten drafted male players.

Player Eligibility: The target level for Men’s Division players in the Pro League is NTRP 5.0 or higher. Players in the Men’s Division must be at least 21 years old by the start of Pro League play.

Match Days & Times: Matches are scheduled to start on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM. In the event of inclement weather, the captains will advise their teams. In case of rainout situations, matches will be scheduled for the week(s) following the completion of the regular season.

Season: The Men’s Pro League season will consist of one complete Regular Season team round robin followed by one Playoff round of matches. The top four teams from the Regular Season will participate in the Playoff Round of matches following the Regular Season.

On July 15, captains must forward to the designated Pro League coordinator a final TEAM POSITION number for each player. This final TEAM POSITION number will be used for all matches scheduled July 21 and later. Final TEAM POSITION numbers are subject to review and approval by the League Coordinators. MEN’S TEAMS: The #1 doubles team must have a combined point total that is less than or equal to that of the #2 doubles team; the #2 doubles team must have a combined point total that is less than or equal to that of the #3 doubles team. Sub Pool: Eligible players not rostered by a team may go into the sub pool. In the event rostered players are not available to fill a line-up, Captains may use a player from the sub pool.

Scoring: For the Regular Season and the Playoffs: two out of three sets with a super tiebreaker (first to 10 by a margin of two) played in lieu of the third set.
