To lead and deliver design for print projects to a diverse range of internal clients.

Main duties and responsibilities /
1 / Create high impact and effective graphic design for printed publications and applications for corporate, academic and professional service departments ensuring the designs reflect the values and reputation of the University of Bath and meet the objectives of the Marketing & Communications Plan.
2 / Provide significant contribution to the University of Bath brand guidelines for print and collaborate with the Digital team to ensure brand consistency across both media.
2 / Plan, research and develop innovative ideas, themes and concepts for the key priorities set out in the University Marketing Plan.
3 / Build solid relationships with clients based on excellent customer service, meet regularly with them to fully understand future requirements and to discuss the development of enhancements and improvements to printed materials.
4 / Challenge creative client briefs to ensure an effective publication which meets the needs of users is developed and produced.
5 / Ensure all designs are presented to clients professionally and are always supported with a clear rationale and recommendation and have been developed using relevant feedback data provided by the Business Analyst.
6 / Schedule and prioritise new and existing work to ensure production schedules and deadlines are met and manage the outsourcing of projects where appropriate.
7 / Evaluate, review and implement process improvements and service enhancements within the design service.
9. / Develop concepts using Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and also Microsoft Office when the project requires.
10. / Create photography briefs for large projects and liaise with the University photographer and external freelance photographers to improve the quality of images used and required in printed publications. Provide art direction as required on photographic shoots.
11. / Establish excellent systems of communication with all members of IDPS, Marketing & Communications and departmental stakeholders.
You will from time to time be required to undertake other duties of a similar nature as reasonably required by your line manager.

·  Successful experience of delivering new creative concepts across different print media.
·  Experience of managing fast changing priorities and deadlines.
·  Avid interest in new developments and trends in design
